Family of Joseph Marchesseau and Helen Higgins Joseph Marchesseau, seated in this photograph next to his wife Helen Higgins and surrounded by their family, was a descendant of Martha French. A captive in the 1704 raid on Deerfield, Massachusetts, French married Jacques Roy in 1711.
