Sault-au-Récollet
The Sault-au-Récollet was a mission village on the north side of Montreal Island, where the Sulpicians procured land to move the diverse Iroquois community of La Montagne away from the corrupting influences of canadien society. The first Iroquois arrived in the Sault-au-Récollet in 1696, and all had left the mission at La Montagne by 1705.
